Filippa is a GK representing Gamla Upsala SK, where she trains and is part of the gameday squad with the women’s first team in Elitettan – Sweden’s 2nd Highest League. She gains most of her game experience with the U19 Division 1 team – 2nd U19 National Tier.
Filippa has also been selected to several National Team Camps but is yet to make an appearance.
Despite her young age, Filippa has trained extensively at the senior level, and already shows sharp instincts in goal beyond her years. She stands out as a fearless shot stopper with extremely quick reactions, consistently making decisive saves in high-pressure situations. Particularly strong in close-range moments, she is unafraid to put her body on the line and has the ability to come up with major saves for her team.
Something worth mentioning is that Filippa and I, Ebba Costow, are teammates. Several of mine and Filippa’s teammates are former college players who have played at NCAA D1 programs such as the University of Kansas, UMass Lowell, Little Rock Arkansas, and NCAA D2 programs such as Nova Southeastern and Embry-Riddle.
